During the summer months most of us enjoy the opportunity to see our friends and families take their vows of marriage. I, myself have a few weddings to go to this summer and am looking forward to the rest of them. But, this weekend was the first and I thought I would share my thoughts on the times had and for those to come.
During our human lives we have many moments; chapters in our life. This special chapter that I was able to share with Juliana and Damien Russell was a beautiful opportunity; to see the cataclysmic bonds of love take effect in two peoples lives. The ceremony took place in an statuesque church, which stood in grand braggadocio overlooking the fields surrounding which could not compare in it's beauty. The sky was dark and threatening in the background, sounding like a growling empty stomach; gurgling booms faint yet audible. Rain was on it's way, but we where in the safety of God's church for the downpour. During the ceremony family and friends gathered together to see the bride and groom come together on their special day. It was sublime.
It was during the celebration afterwards that I really absorbed the thought about the power of love and the happiness it brings to us all; weather we realize it or not. The smile on the parents faces could not even match that of Hollywood's Stars. The friends who may have just met for the first time, those in the states and those who are from overseas, now being a part of each others lives even if it was just for the night of celebration. We are now connected to each other through the love that has been shared through Juliana and Damien. It is quite surreal to think that out of all people and places that we would meet on a small Minnesota farm distant from the beaches of Australia and our hometowns.
Weddings are a time that we will all cherish and remember. Dancing into the night in celebration for our friends and family. Now as the newly weds go on in life together, they paint their fresco over time; adding paint to the wall of their life's story. Full of adventure and love. Wishing the best to all those who are getting married this summer and I hope you will always have the joy and love that we see on that special day.
